ABOUT JAY
Jay Koch is a latinx lighting director who strives to bring life to the stage through light. Originally from Chicago, she is an alumnus of The Theatre School at DePaul University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Lighting Design. She is also a graduate of Officer Candidate School with the Marine Corps.
She has worked on a variety of stages, from Chicago storefront theatre to stadium-sized award shows. This has given her an appreciation for the drastic scale that lighting design falls on and how to manipulate light accordingly.
She is currently based in Los Angeles.
